the Ontario Junior Farmers’
debating championship in the
provincial finals at the Ontario
Agricultural College April 21.
The winners, Don Middleton,

Plans were made for a Bible
project. Four girls were selected
to check coats at a banquet later
in the week. Beth Hodgins and
Margaret Neil volunteered to
prepare the worship service for
the next meeting. The activity
period was spent in making ar
ticles from felt.

A McGillivray township far
mer all his life, John T. Dixon,
81, died at his home Thursday,
April 24. His wife, the former
Janet Fraser, died 30 years ago.
He is survived by four sons,
Fraser and George, McGillivray;
Sinclair, of London, and Andrew,
of Exeter; twelve grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service was conducted
by the Rev. G. Parrot, Crediton,
at ’the Murdy Funeral Home in
Lucan. The Pallbearers were six
nephews, Earl, Wilfred and
Murray Dixon, Neil Maguire,
William Cook and Jack Hotson.
Interment took place in Parkhill
Cemetery.
