New Fire Equipment For Grand Bend New fire equipment was pur­ chased by Grand Bend council at their meeting last week. Among the requisitions were fire nozzle, two axes, boots hats and raincoats. Mr, Archibald was engaged to make a survey of portions of the village. The reeve and clerk were given authority to sign the police contracts. A fee of five dollars for organ­ izations holding a sale of home baking in the village hall was abolished. The reeve and clerk were authorized to sign a cheque for the school board for $1,000. A request from Mr, J, Breen was made for assistance on the refill which was necessary his properly. To Address W.I. On April 17, Mrs. James Kirk­ land, of Usborne, president ot South Huron W.I.’ Association, is to address the Grand Bend W.I. in the town hall. A. Reader is to accompany her. April 21 to 25, a course on lingerie, conducted by Mrs, Mc­ Bride, sponsored by the Agri­ culture Department through the W.I. is being given in the town hall from 1.30-4 p.m. This in­ structive course is free to all.
