Revere Farm Forum
The Revere Farm Forum met
at the home of Mr, and Mrs.
Harold Westman to discuss cus
tomers abroad and how the far
mer is affected by Canada’s
changing trade pattern.
For the several questions that
arose during discussion, the
forum decided that the U.S. of
fers the best long term markets
but Canada should trade with
both Britain and the U.S.A.
Members thought that in
order to maintain and develop
markets for Canadian farm pro
duce, Canada must continue to
buy a good quantity of British
produce, fill contracts when they
are obtained and maintain a
good quality in produce shipped
abroad.
In this regards, the forum
thought that Canadian goods
should be advertised attractively
and there should be Canadian
representatives to follow goods
to different countries to see that
goods are marketed-properly.
The forum also decided that
the farmer could help by putting
pressure on commodity groups
to promote -world markets', and
farmers could produce good
quality products and see that
what they produce is packed
properly for shipping.
