A ance. with Solos by Harry Hern, Zion, and Mrs. Ronald Squire; piano duets by Mrs. Duffield and Mrs. Pul­ len; readings by Mrs. Alton Neil; accordian Roy Hodgson. Two dialogues one by Woodham other by Whalen brought forth much laughter. Rev. Burton presented two films on the screen. A delicious lunch was served at the close. Proceeds amounted to $38. Demonst ra t ion On Friday afternoon, Mr. Noble of London demonstrated his "Rexair” to a good crowd of ladies i n the basement of the church. Lunch was served, Pro­ ceeds went to the W.A. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hardy, Devizes, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parkin­ son. On Friday, Mr. and Mrs. C, Harmer and Adelle of Fullarton visited with Mr. and Parkinson. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Squire and Douglas were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. R. Lamond, near London. Friends of Mrs. George Squire will be sorry to learn that she is quite ill. We hope for a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. O'Brien spent several days in Toronto during last week and also visit­ ed with the latter’s sister, Miss Rachel Currie, at Galt. Euchre The community euchre met on Friday evening at the school house. Eight tables were at play. Mary Gardiner presiding. During the business meeting it was voted to hold a euchre and a dance in the near future the proceeds to be added to the hospital fund of the lodge. Following the meeting, the officers of the lodge entertained the members with an interesting program and social hour. Mr. Reg. Beavers showed seve­ ral colored films he had taken on trips to Florida. Mrs. A. Wil­ lard contributed a piano solo and also accompanied a quar­ tette of lodge officers, Miss Mary Gardiner, Miss Irene Sweet, Mrs. Kay Cann and Mrs. Lillian Ten­ nant. On Friday, March 14 local lodge members will visit Monc­ ton lodge. Mrs. Helen Jermyn will give a talk on Citizenship at the next regular meeting, March 19. Last Member Truemner Family Dies In Crediton Daniel Truemner, the last member of his family, died at his home in Crediton Sunday, March 9. He was born-in Hay Township and resided in Crediton the last 25 years of his life. He was a member of the Crediton Evan­ gelical Church, Surviving are one daughter and five sons. They are Mrs. Aaron Wein, Crediton; Dr. J. Elmer, Chesley; Herbert, Flint, Michigan; Ohlen, Parkhill; Dr. Otis, Strathroy, and Howard, Belmont. One son- in-law and his five sons were pall bearers.
