The boys won their way into the finals but were defeated by Aylmer. During the tournament they played Aylmer five times and won three of the five matches. They defeated the Aylmer team twice in regular games, and met them again in the playoffs. Al though they won the first game, the locals were defeated in the last two. On the team are Neil Taylor, Paul Durand, Glen Schroeder, Ken Moir, Jim Sturgis and John Hicks. The game was played in Seaforth. Down 4-1 at the beginning of the final stanza, Wils Allen’s boys staged a thrilling rally to score a quintet of goals and take the lead in the series. Forest opened the scoring midway in the first but Hensall retaliated with a goal by Wade from Munroe. The visitors scored three in the second to take a decisive lead. Sparked by Harrison who notched three counters, the Hen sall boys began hitting the pay dirt. Harrison’s first goal came on a pass from O’Shea. Seconds later, Knight scored with Mun roe getting an assist.
