Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gunning and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Morley, Exeter, also Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Earl, Zion, were Friday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Melleville Gunning. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkinson and Russell were in London on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Har­ old Bell. The occasion being a birthday celebration in honor of Mrs. Charles Hooper, London. Mrs. Hooper has reached the 80 mark, and is enjoying good health. Her many friends in this community wish her many more happy birthdays. The congregational meeting was well attended. Rev. Burton was chairman and Gordon John­ son, secretary. Reports of the different organizations were giv­ en, showing a very successful year. Mrs. Bert Duffield was elected as eldei’ filling the place of Mrs. Alex Baillie who was the retir­ ing elder. Kenneth Hodgson and Frank Squire were re-elected as stewards. Gordon Johnson was re-appointed as congregational secretary. Auditors are: Mrs. Klhare and Mr. Alex Baillie. Al­ ton Neil was elected on the Board of trustees to fill the va­ cancy of Walter Gunning. Wil­ liam Morley Jr., Alton Neil, Gor­ don Johnson and Cecil Squire were appointed on the “Pastoral Charge” committee. A vote of thanks to all who have served so unselfishly dur­ ing the past year was passed un­ animously. Rev. Burton expressed appre­ ciation to Mr. and Mrs. Baillie for such fine care of the church they had given for so many years. Mrs. Baillie replied. The chair was taken by Rev. Donald R. Sinclair, Exeter, intermoderator. Splendid reports were presented by each organiza­ tion and the treasurer’s report disclosed church in good condition. Mrs. W. R. Bell was appoint­ ed secretary for the evening. Four new managers were ap­ pointed-—Garnet Mousseau, Rus­ sell Moore, Harold Bell, Melvin Glanville; George Tinney, super­ intendent for the Sunday School for five years tendered his re­ signation.
