Bill (Parke, manager of Hen sall intermediates, violently de nounced ”rough and dirty” tac tics In hockey after two of his team with Irish goal. “There should be some action taken by the league)” Parke said. “It’s too much for the referees to handle,” Donald Moore, right-winger for Hensall, received a severe concussion as a result of what} the Hensall manager called “a straight charge into the boards”. Moore was taken unconscious from the ice to Seaforth Hospi tal. His condition Tuesday scribed as “fair” and he gained Consciousness. In another accident in cond period, Art Woodcock, Hen sall goaltender, received cuts to his eye requiring four stitches to close. However, he was able to finish the game. What action will be taken by Hensall will not be determined until the full extent, of injuries to Moore are known, Parke said. The winger, an airman at RCAF Station Centralia, was described by the Hensall manager as a “very clean player”. “I’ve followed sport for quite a while,” he said, “but I’ve nev er seen anything so dirty as what happened Monday night.” “The Lucan player was out 10 or 15 feet from the boards and he made a straight charge for Moore who was three to four feet off. You could hear his bead hit the boards all over the arena.” Woodcock was injured a short time later and the doctor admini stered first aid. “He was sport enough to play it out,” said Parke, handicapped, he played a nice game.” After the four stitches were used to the cut. were injured in a tussle Lucan Monday night. The Irish mentor said phatically “The referees of game gave us the rottenest that any team has ever had to put up with in the W.O.A.A.” “The refs were terrible,” he continued, “so much so that the crowd—even Hens'all fans—were very emphatic that Lucan got the rotten end of the deal.” He said the two referees, both from Seaforth, favored the Hen sail team who are using several Seaforth imports. “Our team only played three or four men on the ice most of the time,” he stated. 50 Dodge Sedan 40 Chev.
