The Kip­ pen East Women’s Institute cat­ ered for the banquet, supplying a bounteous turkey with all the trimmings. Mr. Jefferson, DDPG, was the guest speaker. Mr. Earl Camp­ bell acted as chairman for the program. Vocal solos by Mr. Sam Rannie and vocal duets by Mrs. William Brown and Mrs. Harold Bell were much enjoyed. A vote of thanks was extended to Mr. Jefferson by Mr. N. R. Dougall and to the Kippen East Institute members by Mr. Sid MacArthur. Progressive euchre was played and the following were prize winners: Ladies, Mrs. R. M. Mc­ Donald, Mrs. Allen Johnston, Mrs. Hugh McEwen; gents, Mr. Bert Horton, Mr. Thos Meyers, Mr. Ross Richardson. White Gift Service , Rev. W. J. Rogers presided over the white gift service held in the Hensall United Church on Sunday evening when the junior choir sang. Donald Kyle gave the call to Worship and recitations were given by Jerry Drysdale, Billie Shaddick, and Gerald Flynn. Miss. Winnie Gray gave the Christmas story and the pri­ mary class presented a number. The church was decorated with evergreen, gold streamers and colored lights arranged by Mrs. Russel Broderick and Mrs. Wal­ ter Spencer. Dance FARQUHAR HALL Thurs., Dec. 27 Good Orchestra Everyone Welcome Holiday DANCE Over 100 attended the Kins­ men’s stag and raffle Friday night. A *'country style”turkey dinner was served and twenty turkeys were given away. The spirit of Christinas prevail­ ed at the Exeter lodge of Odd­ fellows Tuesday evening. Follow­ ing the regular meeting a hot turkey barbeque was enjoyed.
