Wintry winds did not chill the
moral of the EHS football team
as they defeated the St. Marys
squad 17-5 in a sudden death
fixture for the tri-school hon
ors. John Hicks and Ken Moir
proved to be the big guns for
the local squad but all the boys
played excellent football.
St. Marys started off fast with
a long pass which was complet
ed for their first and only touch
down of the game. This aroused
the local boys and after a
steady march down the field Ken
Moir passed to John Hicks in
side the opponents end zone for
the first touchdown. Bob Wade
converted for the extra point.
Shortly after the local boys made
their way down into the St.
i Marys end and a third down
kick by Glen Schroeder was
fumbled by St. Marys in their
end zone and John Hicks pounc
ed on it
touchdown.

Volleyball
During the week
and St. Marys girls,
Senior Volleyball teams compet
ed in a home and home series.
The Exeter girls won both
their games but the Jr.’s drop
ped both their games. All these
games were very close and the
spirit ran high throughout
games.
Tournament
This Thursday afternoon
volleyball tournament will
held in Exeter, The teams com
peting will be Clinton, St. Marys
and Exeter. The general public
is invited to attend these games
which should prove exciting
since the winner will go on to

A state of harmony existed
our school at the beginning
the week when the music fes
tival was held in the gymtorjum.
The classes were many and vari
ed amongst the pupils and with
more practise and greater cour
age we should show improve
ment.
In the classroom competitions
10A received the highest num
ber of points closely followed by
11A and X1B. We greatly ap
preciate the work done by the
Huronia Male Choir in sponsor

ing us with the opportunity to
sing and play before such a
pleasant and competent critic as
