Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pasley, Jenette and Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dunn returned to Toronto after spending the Thanksgiving holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dunn. Misses Margaret and Frances Taylor of Preston and Thorald and Isabel and Alice Taylor of London spent the holiday week­ end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Floody and family of Windsor visited over the Thanksgiving week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lin­ denfield and other relatives in Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. L. Morris of Peterborough and Mrs. F. Brown of London visited over the holi­ day with the former’s mother, Mrs. G. Westcott. ■Mr. and Mrs. John MacKay, of Toronto spent the week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Amy. Rev. and Mrs. N. R. D. Sin­ clair who have been with Rev. and Mrs. Donald Sinclair for the past few months, left on Monday to take up residence in Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Predator and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Klein- feldt attended the Teeswater Fair last Wednesday. The World’s Communion Sun­ day was observed in James St. United Church Sunday morning. Mrs. Pearson and Jeff will reside in Exeter for a possible two years while F/S Pearson is in England attached to the 410 Fighter Squadron. Mr. Frank Southcott, of Win­ nipeg, and Miss Stella Southcott visited on Thanksgiving with Rev. and Mrs. Southcott at Oil City. •Mr. and Mrs. Frank MacKen- zie and family of Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. B. Francis spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Rowe. Mr. Miller Campbell, of Lon­ don, Ont., spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and 'Mrs. Andrew Campbell. qMts, Ted Burkhart who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Davis was joined by her husband and son Harry over the holiday week-end. Also visiting at. the Davis home was another daughter, Mrs. S. Ste­ phenson of Windsor. The Thanksgiving week-end passed off quietly. After enjoy­ ing unseasonable warm weather throughout the week the wea­ ther turned and was quite dis­ agreeable for the holiday. Rain fell Sunday morning and a chilly atmosphere did not appeal to the church goers and consequen­ tly the attendance at divine wor­ ship fell considerably from what it might otherwise have been. ’ Mr. and Mrs. J.. B. Pryde re­ cently paid a visit to the world’s largest granite quarries of Rock of Ages in Vermont. Mr, and Mrs. Charles Cox and two daughters of Niagara Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mat- tingley and son and daughter, of Sarnia, spent Thanksgiving with Mrs. Norman Hannigan. Miss Nettie Keddy returned home from a visit with-.friends in Fenton, Mich., last week, Miss Keddy V’as hospitalized for some time following a motor accident. She has made a* remarkable re­ covery and is in excellent health. i Squadron Leader and Mrs. T. II. Fletcher, Margaret and the twins Jean and Joan, of Toronto, were Sunday guests-at the home of Miss Vera Rowe.
