The Thanksgiving week-end
passed off quietly. After enjoy
ing unseasonable warm weather
throughout the week the wea
ther turned and was quite dis
agreeable for the holiday. Rain
fell Sunday morning and a chilly
atmosphere did not appeal to
the church goers and consequen
tly the attendance at divine wor
ship fell considerably from what
it might otherwise have been. ’
Mr. and Mrs. J.. B. Pryde re
cently paid a visit to the world’s
largest granite quarries of Rock
of Ages in Vermont.
Mr, and Mrs. Charles Cox and
two daughters of Niagara Falls
and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mat-
tingley and son and daughter, of
Sarnia, spent Thanksgiving with
Mrs. Norman Hannigan.
Miss Nettie Keddy returned
home from a visit with-.friends
in Fenton, Mich., last week, Miss
Keddy V’as hospitalized for some
time following a motor accident.
She has made a* remarkable re
covery and is in excellent health.
