Les- At Middlesex Achievement Day The Clandeboye Dirt Diggers took top honours at achievement day held at Medway High School on August their entry to Fair. Mr. and Paula and Peggy, Tom and Mr. Johnston of London returned last wreek from a trip to the West. Miss Moyra Morkin, R.N., who had been visiting with re­ latives in the West returned with them to resume her duties as a nurse in St. Mieheal's Hospital, Toronto. Another ease of appendicitis, Mr. Eric Hodgins, was operated on Thursday in St. Joseph’s Hos­ pital. Heim Annual Picnic The annual Hern picnic was held on the Zion School Grounds, Wednesday, August 29, with 85 sitting down to dinnex*. Business was discussed with Ken Hern in charge. Mr. George Jaques of Exeter was elected pi'esident, and Mrs. Melville Hern was re-elect­ ed secretary.
