The Greys displayed batting as well as catching skill when Ha­ worth hit a home run and Tay­ lor and Hodgins sent triples into the field. Pfaff and Honsberger scored the two runs for Crediton. The spirit carried Dashwood through to break the tie in the last of the eighth inning when Love hit a long, high fly-ball out past the reach of any Exeter fielders. The fly brought in two runs and began a streak of luck which gave the Dashwood girls a five run lead. Although the greys pulled up their socks in the first of the fourth inning when Hodgins hit a liome-run and brought in two others, they failed to come up to the mark in their last chance at bat and the game ended With a score of 13-8 for Dashwood.
