Harry Cob;, Druggist: The idea is to accommodate the most cars with the least confusioh. Most women drivers especially are against parallel parking, so in. this town the problem has been handled very well with angle parking on one side of the street and parallel on the other. Mr. Dixon, Science Teacher: Parallel parking makes driving through town so much easier. It gives me a feeling of safety that I never had before. I think that angle parking should be continu ed on one side of the street to conserve space. Mrs. Sheldon Wein, Home maker: Although parallel park ing on one side is an improve ment, it should be enforced on both sides and a public parking lot should be provided with clear directions on its location posted in the town. Bob Davis, Linotype Operator:! I think parallel parking is fine once you get used to it, and it doesn’t take up too much space, if it’s only on one side of the street. Mary McKnight, Student: For bicycle riders, angle parking is too dangerous. There should be parallel parking on both sides of the street so that when a dri ver pulls out of a parking space, a bicyclist has a chance. 1 C. L. Robertson, Druggist: There seems to be much more room in the street since parallel parking was enforced. I haven’t heard many coinplaints but it may be condusive to speeding for cars passing through town. With 5-4 Count Lady luck stuck her finger in to the ball game Friday night and helped Exetei* win its first bailgame of the season 5-4 over Goderich. The chance mistress waited until the eighth with two out and Exeter’s tying run on se cond. Fred Darling swung and missed a third strike, ran when the catcher dropped the ball. The throw to first was good but somehow the lady’s finger got in the road and the first baseman dropped the ball. In the meantime, Serratore, one of the new imports scored from second to bring the score to a 4-4 deadlock. Lady luck didn’t leave until the end of the ninth. Pitcher Joe Metro, another immigrant, slash ed a double into the left. He went to third on a passed ball then rushed for home. It was close but the Goderich back- stopper touched him with the Over Goderich glove instead of the ball and after some arguing with the ump the game was all over. The game was exciting all the way. Faulkner, the Goderich hurler allowed only four hits. He gave up two in the second when Exeter went ahead 3-0. Gode rich got them back in the third and fifth, went up one in the sixth. The score stood that way until this lady luck entered the picture. Do You Know? Driving at 30 m.p.h. It Takes You 73 Feet to Stop Driving at 50 m.p.h.
