They racked up a 15-0 shutout. Miller, O’Brien, Robert Wein, and Willert all collected two hits for the winners. Martene and O’Brien had the only extra­ base hits of the game. For Exeter, Middleton and Hennessey shared the only two safeties given up by McPherson. The winners collected in the first two innings their victory, Carl Wein scored in after Bob Hayter rapped out a double. Kleinstiver, Regier, Per­ kins, Ray Wein and Carl Wein crossed home plate in the second on five hits and two errors. Russel relieved Shaw for Exe­ ter in the end of the second, and allowed only two hits and one run in six and one-third innings. Bob Hayter and Perkins were best at the bat with two hits in Perkins, new cher, held the scattered hits. Darling scored ter's three runs. Russell got the other one after banging out a double. J. Howald Dies Frederick J. Howald, former resident of several Western On­ tario centres, died suddenly yes­ terday at his ''home, London. He was boril in Hensall and before coming to London in 1933 lived at St. Marys, Windsor and Chatham. In London he was as­ sociated with the Alex Lamont real estate agency until his death. A thirty-second deg'ree Scot­ tish was Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, former Lena Bender; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Yorston, of London; two brothers, Edward Howald, of Exeter, and the Rev. R. Howald, Morrisburg; and grandsons. Funeral services were held in London on Monday. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
