Radiator Ornament
Gashes Head In Storm
Stalled in Wednesday night's
blinding storm near Elgxnfield,
about 8 o’clock, Mervin F. Kel-
lar, an Exeter contractor, was
struck by a car as he was fasten
ing a chain to the rear of his
light truck.
He was thrown clear as the
car, driven by 0. R. I-Iodgins,
165 Wliancliffe road, south,
crashed into the rear of his
truck. A projecting radiator ora-
ment on the ear gashed his head
His truck had followed the
tracks of a milk truck which
had slid off the road earlier.
Visibility was poor, “I saw the
cax* coming but couldn’t get out
of the way in time,” Kellar said.
f,I just heard a crack, and I
don’t remembei* anything after
that,”
Road conditions prevented po
lice from taking him to hospital
in Rondon. He was taken to Lu
can where he was treated by Dr,
Clayton George and where he
remained overnight in an hotel.
Provincial Constable Clarence
Mitchell, Byron, investigated.
Mr. Jas P. Bowey has been
under the doctor’s care for the

Exetex’ Times-Advocate. {travellers didn’t miss. Donald’s
While reading The Exeter comment was "Interesting to see
Times-Advocate last Sunday I,but not recommended as a na-
came across a letter with Mrs. tional sport”. It’s a gory xness
Lou Martin Gillies’ suggestion at best and before the bull is
regarding a plaque in the school ’ down and out, he's been pierced
to the memory of the late Miss , by six spear-like J'bandelios”, and
Vosper. ..........
There are quite
Exeter people in
were pupils of Miss Vospei’ when
she taught the Entrance Class in
the old school. A number of us,
were out for a social evening not
so long
came up
evening.
A numbei’ of us thought
plaque was an excellent idea
then again we thought possibly
a much more fitting tribute
would be to create a scholarship
to be called the Clara Vosper
Scholarship.
The possibility is it would not
be large but if there was some
way of contacting the living
pupils quite a considerable sum
could be raised.
There are many ex-pupils ,who
have done well as far as this
world’s goods are concerned dpd
I think they would be willing to
contribute favourably to such a
good cause.
This is merely a suggestion on
my part. Regardless of which
suggestion is adopted believe me
we will support it wholeheart
edly.
Thanking you for the space in
your valuable paper.
Yours truly,
I. T. Earling.

P.S, Which eVer suggestion
is adopted, I will surd send my
contribution long before it will
be needed,
