Councillors Snelgrove and
Kenzie were authorized to
vestigate parking and traffic con
trol on Main Street.
Mr. John Campbell was ap
pointed'relief officer.
Councillor McKenzie asked why
he had been charged fifty per
cent of the cost of a new side
walk in front of his store while
the rate charged to others was
only 25 per cent. He was in
formed that as there was a side
walk there before he built his
new store and that the walk had
to be raised two or three feet,
the council last year felt that he
should pay a greater part of the
cost.
' Mayor Tuckey stated that Mr.
McKenzie had taken a low-lying
lot and by erecting a store it
was an asset to the town and he
felt Mr. McKenzie should not be
penalized. It was moved that Mr.
McKenzie be charged 25 per cent
of the cost.
