Although the lassies have lost several tion games they came out with a 25-6 score. Jean paced the winners scoring 15 of the 25 points. The boys played an excellent game w i t h Glenn Schroedex* hooping 16 points while Gord Cann was second with 15. Barry Brown was top fox* St. Mary’s with 4 points, he final score was 41-10< in favour of Exeter. Friday night proved to be slightly different with both Exe­ ter teams coming up on the short end of the score. Rev. Burton presided over the business and Gordon Johnson as secretary. Splendid reports from all the organiza­ tions were given. Cecil Steward Gordon member ed again. Mrs. Frank Squire was appointed to fill the vacancy of Mrs. Hazelwood on the session, and Mrs. Hazelwood appointed clerk of the session. Alton Wallis chief usher. It seconded that Jr. be treasurer fund. Cecil Squire and Mellevil­ le Gunning are also on the coxn- mittee. Mrs. William Morley moved a vote of thanks to all who made the years a success. Sunday School The Sunday Schools officers with Mr. William Hodgson as Superintendent are to be the same as last year with one new addition Mrs. Alton Neil as Baby Band leader. Meeting ad­ journed. Lunch was served by the ladies. Mr. Ray Parkinson and Donna have been quite ill suffering from measles. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Squire visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. M. The evening was spent in games after which all sat down to a hearty lunch of sandwiches, cookies, ice-cream and home-made candy together with two birthday cakes. One of the birthday cakes was sent from Grand Bend by Mrs. A. Dayman. “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” was sung and a half hour enjoy­ ed over the teacups. Mrs. Taylor in a few well chosen remarks thanked the ladies for making it such a happy birthday. spent Win At Hurondale Euchre Fifty-five tables were in play at the Hurondale W.I. Progres­ sive Euchre party in the Exeter Legion rooms Friday evening last. The lady’s high prize was won by Mrs. M. Holtzman; gents high by Ted Sims; lone hands by Mrs. C. Godbolt and the dooi’ prize by Otto Brown. A sing song was led by Mrs. Jack Coatts and an instrumental was played by Mrs. Harold Jeffrey. A splen­ did lunch was served at the close.
