marriage ceremony to take place.
The question arose—Who was
to get him, Wolf Gal or Daisy
Mae? Just as Marrying Sam waa
about to pronounce them man
and “wives”, L’il Abner slipped
away and the gals were unable
to hitclf him again this year.
Probably there will be a whole
recruit after him next year. The
parts were played very well by
Glen Love, L’il Abner; Pat Mit
chell, Daisy Mae; Joan Gill, Wolf
Gal and Campbell Krueger as
Marrying Sant. Other entertain
ment was provided in the form
of a Spot Dance, Elimination
Dance, Broom Dance etc. These
were won by various school mem
bers. On the whole, the dance
was a great success from,, both
angles—profits 'and fun.

■Saturday, the girls travelled to
London to play their Volley Ball
games, On arriving we noticed
that eight teams were present,
namely — Sandwich, Windsor,
Medway, Central London, Wood-
stock, -Stratford, Ridgetown,
Waterford and Exeter. We played
Medway first and defeated them
39-17. Our next game was with
Waterford, who defeated us >35-
25, and our third game we de
feated Woodstock. We were
quite proud of ourselves in the
fact that we were playing WOSSA
“A” schools and defeating them.
The team consisted of May
Schroeder, Maida Richards, Joan
Batten, Lorna Taylor, Delores
Schenk, Doris Haist, Jean Tay
lor, Wilma Coates, Colleen Gill
and myself. Stratford were the
winners of the series as they
were undefeated.♦ * * *
