Mr. and Mrs. Triebner made a fitting reply. The re­ mainder of the evening was pleasantly spent in a social time and* lunch. The following evening about thirty young people from the Pentecostal Assembly gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Triebner in honour of the newlyweds. Mrs. Peter Du­ rand c onducted contests and games after which Marjorie Cud- more read an address and Allen Elinza presented the gift. Mr. and Mrs. Triebner expressed their thanks. Mission Circle Holds Monthly MeetingThe regualr "monthly of the Thames Road Circle was held in the church basement on Saturday afternoon, with the President, Annie Elford, in charge. The meeting opened with a hymn followed with a prayer by'Annie Elford. Roll call was taken and the minutes of the last meeting were .read. The Devotional was taken by Mar­ garet Bray. It was decided to have a fish pond at the Bazaar and also a candy booth. It was decided to make Cuddle Toys for the immegrant children. The program consisted of a. reading by Mabel Selves, an instrumental by Agnes Bray, and Annie Elford gave a1 report of tlfb Presbyterial which was held at Elimville. Mrs. Mair introduced the book "Growing With The Years". On Wednesday evening, Oct. 26, Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid entertained their husbands to a fowl supper which was followed by a program put on by the ladies. An apppeal made by the L’utheran Relief for used cloth­ ing to he sent overseas was well responded to. Misses Dorothy and Frieda Rader have returned home after visiting with friends in Kitchener and Waterloo last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wein and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wein spent the week-end in Windsor and Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Milfred Merner and Mr. and Mrs. A. Tieman, Mrs. S. Merner and Chas. Fassold. Hallowe’en Party The Hallowe’en party spon­ sored by the Bridge ’Clubs and Business Men’s Club was a huge success and was attended by a largo crowd. The newly organiz­ ed brass band led the parade to the- Lutheran Church shed, fol­ lowed by children and adults in costume. .Candy, popcorn, dough­ nuts, apples and elder were given to the children, with prizes going to -Maurice Klumpp, Fay Ford, Jimmy Rader, Janie Restemeyer, Harry Hoffman, Mrs. Currie, Donald Wright. of visitors Community NIGHT ..
