Mr. Archie Allison of Billings, Montana, spent a few days here with Thames his son lina. Mrs. George Hay, accompanied by her granddaughter, Joan Dett- mer, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Murray at Berwick, N-S., for a couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs, Melvin Gardiner have returned home after an ex tended trip to the Pacific Coast. They visited with relatives in Saskatchewan and Alberta and motored through the Rockies, a trip that is .most enchanting and at times thrilling and dangerous as you gaze down the steep clifl’S from a narrow ledge of rock. They .returned home through the States visiting Yellowstone Park. The bride is the former Marion Sawyer of Mt. Pleasant. An address was read by Allan McDougall and the young couple was presented with a studio couch, and smoker stand by Lloyd Cole, David Davis and Austin Nairn, The recipients both expressed sincere thanks for the gifts. The evening was spent in cards and dancing. The music was supplied by Siemens’ orches tra, Mitchell, with Frank Har mer as floor manager. Leonard Har ris, who observed their twenty fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday, October 1, celebrated it at their home, lot IS, Con cession 11, Usborne, on Sunday. Dinner was served to about twenty guests. The table was tastefully decorated with flowers and was centered with a three- tier wedding cake, topped with a tiny bouquet of. flowers.
