Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Cottle and Mr. 'and 'Mrs. Herb I-Iarrison re turned home Sunday after a few days’ motor trip to North Bay, Cobalt and New Liskeard. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Brock and Mrs. Brock Sr., visited on Sunday with Mrs. Edwin ;MBler- Mr, A. Rowcliffe, of visited with Mr, and Morgan on Sunday. Mr. and Mys. C. Mair chose for his sermon “Op portunities.” W.A. And W.M.S. Meet The regular monthly meeting of the W.M.S. and W.A. met at the home of Mrs. William Elford on Wednesday evening of last week with the W.A. President, Mrs. Melvin Gardiner, in ,the chair. The meeting opened with a hymn, followed with prayer by Mrs. Mair. .Scripture lesson was read -by Mrs. A. Hunkin, after which. Mrs. >O, Beavers read a poem entitled “Thy Neighbour”. Hymn 506 was sung. .The lesson thought “Who Is My Neighbour” was given by Mrs. C. Allison. Mrs. S. 'Coward then read a poem “Take Your Place”. Roll rail was taken, business discussed. Mrs. William Ballantyne was in charge of the program, which was as follows: Reading by Mrs. Harris, instrumental by Doris and Annie Elford, reading Mrs. J. Selves. Collection taken. Hymn 502 was sung the meeting closed with Mrs. M. Gardener giving the closin prayer. A dainty ten cent tea w served by Group Four social time spent. The W.M.S. of St. United Church here Wednesday afternoon last at the home of Mrs. Edgar McBride for their annual Baby Band meeting. The president, Mrs. Robert Elgie, presided and opened the meeting with Hymn SYS. Miss Margaret Sinclair led in prayer and scripture Ruth, Chapter 1, Verses 6 to 18, was read by Miss Sinclair. A short lesson was given by Mrs. R. M,. Peck. Hymn 577 was then sung, A piano solo was given by Elaine Bell. Hymn 613 was then sung. A very pleasing duet was sung by Ann and Marie Sinclair, accompanied by Mrs. J. Slinclair.
