Rowe Dinney, who has been on the inspection staff of the Royal Bank of Canada at Vancouver B.C., has been ap­ pointed assistant manager of the Robson street branch in that city. Dr. Strang is in private practice and .also in charge of a hospital operated by the W.M.S. of the United Church. Zakall Short, “SUNDAY ROUNDUP” and a Bugs Bunny, “MY BUNNY LIES OVER THE SEA” Lightning Kills Boy At Lake A sharp bolt of lightning struck through heavy rainfall and dark clouds late Saturday to claim the life of a seven-year- old Komoka boy as he ran along the beach at Ipperwash. The boy was Robert Lattimore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lattimore. The electric shock killed the boy as he was run­ ning toward a cottage family was spending The parents were feet away and saw which blinded them ily, but because the reduced visibility they did not know the boy had been hit. Caught in a heavy downpour the group was hurrying for shelter. Three other people in a cott­ age nearby were affected by the bolt, which seemed to splatter against their cottage. They had seen the boy running in front of the cottage just before the light­ ning struck and when they could see they saw him lying on the beach and ran to him. The lightning inflicted severe bead injuries and burns on other parts of the body, particularly on the lower abdomen where a can of pork and beans which the boy was carrying had been pressed close to his body. Built at a cost of $12,0’00, the church is covered in white as­ bestos shingling on the "outside walls. It is insulated and is ex­ pected to be used by the perman­ ent residents of Grand Bend when the summer vacationers have left for the winter. Mrs. Robinson is recuperating from an accident suffered several weeks ago while motoring in California. At the time of the accident Mr. Robin­ son was fatally injured and Mrs. Robinson received head injuries which confined iher to hospital at San Diego. She returned to Detroit about a week ago.
