Rev, H. J. Snell of­ ficiated and members of the im­ mediate families were present. The bride was lovely in a gown of floor length white satin with round neck, long sleeves, self-buttoned at the wrist, a full skirt and tunic. She wore an ostrich plume headdress and car­ ried a large bouquet of Ameri­ can Beauty roses and sweet peas. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs, Dalton Finkbeiner, The matron of honour wore ‘an American beauty, off the shoul­ der, silk velvet gown with stand up shawl' collar and full skirt. Her elbow length gloves were of the same material and her head-1 dress was ostrich plume. Her ■bouquet was made up of peach coloured roses and carnations. Harold Holtzmann, twin bro­ ther of the groom, was the best man. The grey black of Bettertime roses. The mother was attired in dress and also wore a of Bettertime roses. A reception followed home of the bride's at the parents and, following a trip the city of Windsor and points east the couple will live in Exeter. The bride travelled in a blue-grey gabardine dressmaker suit with shawl collar and wide lapels. The suit was trimmed with navy accessories and peach roses. * « Two showers week in honour Parsons, whose marriage to Howard Holtzmann took place Wednesday. Friends gathered at the home of Mrs. Blanche Boyle on Wednesday evening and pre­ sented the bride-to-be with a de­ corated basket full of lovely gifts. On Thursday night, friends and neighbours staged a kitchen shower at the home of Mrs. Douglas Wedlake and gave Dor­ ene many .beautiful and useful gifts. A pleasant time was spent at . both gatherings. MacDonald, Exeter, on the evening of May SO, in honor of ’Miss Shirley Van Audenarde, bride-to-be of this week. The evening’s entertainment, planned and carried out by Mrs. E. CUdmore, was provided by a brlde’s-book, previously prepared by those present. When read aloud and examined these pages wore interesting, profitable, amusing and Artistic, providing a souvenir ’front eacli one present, when assembled in book-form. , The many lovely and useful gifts were presented in a dec­ orated basket carried by Mrs. Walkerton and Mrs. S.
