Ambassador contest to be held
While there is an Ambassador
contest scheduled for next year’s
Elementary School Fair in Belgrave,
fair chair Steve Hallahan said that
the group isn’t sure what form it will
take.
“We want it to happen for sure,”
he said. “We’re just not sure what
it’s going to be.”
Hallahan said that the group didn’t
have time at their meetings to lay out
who will be eligible and what the
criteria will be for choosing the
ambassador, but said that they will
look at that in the new year.
“We’re going to be hopefully
having an organizational meeting in
March and figure it out then,” he
said. “We haven’t got down to
saying what we're going to do yet for
sure.”
The fair, which will be entering its
93rd year in 2013, welcomes
students from the newly-formed
Maitland River Elementary School
as well as students from other
neighbouring schools, however no
official transportation was provided
to students outside of Maitland
River for the 2012 fair.
