candidate to fill the position of Store Manager.
Purpose and Summary Statement for this Position:
Manages store operations and ensures a satisfactory return on assets
managed.
• Responsibilities include hiring, training, supervising and motivating
store staff with the assistance of the branch manager.
• Responsibilities also include assisting customers with and promoting
feed, animal health products, pet care, general farm requirements and
any requests presented. Must have a keen sense for promoting and
attaining sales goals.
• Directly involved with inventory purchasing and management for
customer’s best value. Must maintain a proper level of goods on hand
at all times.
• The successful candidate will be highly motivated, a self starter
capable of working in a team environment, possess a strong
agricultural background with several years of progressive retail
experience, a valid driver’s licence, excellent communication skills, a
professional manner and organizational abilities.
• The candidate must be available to work full time including overtime
and Saturdays as needed.
• A fair amount of physical activity is involved; candidate must be able
to lift 25kg. Forklift experience is beneficial or the candidate
possesses the ability to learn.
• Computer skills with Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Word, Excel,
and Outlook are considered a requirement.
