BLAKE. In memory of Bob
(Bennie) Blake who passed away
September 5, 2007 as the result of an
accident.
Although death has separated us
physically, faith and love have bound
us eternally.
Though we cannot see you, we know
you are here.
Though we cannot touch you, we
feel the warmth of your smile, as we
begin a new chapter in our lives,
anticipating the birth of Christopher
and Erin’s twins.
We know you will love them from
above,
Just as we know you have been
loving our little Blake.
We love you,
We honour you,
We cradle you in our hearts.
– Love always, Clara, Kerry,
Christopher and Devin. 35-1

At its Aug. 26 meeting, Huron
East Council authorized the
rebuilding of two accessible
washrooms at the Winthrop
ballpark.
The funds to rebuild the two
washrooms were scheduled to come
from Huron East and the pre-
amalgamation McKillop reserves.
The total cost of the project is
anticipated to be $30,000 at the
most.
Both Huron East and the
McKillop reserves were authorized
to pay for the rebuilding up to a
maximum of $15,000. The
withdrawal was approved in two
separate motions.
The Huron East portion of the
expenditure was authorized to come
from the municipality’s parkland
reserve.

Chief Building Official Paul
Josling has issued 97 building
permits in Huron East as of the end
of July, one more permit than he
had issued by the same time in
2011.
The value of the permits,
however, is significantly lower than
it was at the same time in 2011.
By the end of July, 2011, the
value of the 96 permits issued was
over $13.3 million, while at the end
of July, 2012, the value sits at just
over $8.6 million.
July was the busiest month for
Josling, with 27 permits being
issued.
