four-day stay near Parry Sound at
the cottage of daughter Cindy and
husband Paul Fallis and family. He
reports that he had been at the cabin
on the 119 acres of bush in early July
and that the water levels had
dropped about six inches since then.
It is a great place for hunting and
fishing. He reports they had a bit of
excitement, when his 14-year-old
grandson Riley, who had started
walking the path to leave, came
running back after spotting a mother
bear and her two cubs. There was no
chase, but one never knows.

five-week trip to Israel. She spent
the first week visiting with her son

Caesarea Maritima (the Roman
Harbour), the Caesarea Philippi (the
Roman Ruins) and the Pagan (the
site at the head of the Jordan River).
Each day they had three to four
lectures from the Rabbis of all types.
They ranged from reform to
conservative Judaism. They enjoyed
a Friday evening at the Synagogue

the holiday weekend was Heidi
