Valedictorian happily waves goodbye to school uniform

we know that God and His Word
shine in all areas of learning and
because of you we all are better
equipped to be good stewards of
God’s creation and serve His
community.
Yes, you did all that and more,
thank you! We want to thank the
board, the committees, the sub-
committees of the committees and
the list goes on. Actually, I wasn’t
too thrilled with the uniform
committee but that’s okay now, I
don’t have to wear my uniform any
more, it is passed down to my little
brother.
Just look at the pride out there,
moms and dads are glowing. What
would a speech be without thanking
them? ‘Class of 12’, I want you to
rise, turn and face your parents and
give them a round of applause. Our
parents have supported us
throughout our career here at this
school. They have encouraged us
throughout all our years and I don’t
know if you all know what I mean
but encouragement can come in
many ways, did you know that being
‘grounded’ is a form of
encouragement? I was encouraged
several times! Thanks to all the
moms and dads, we love this school
too!
This year marks our school’s 50th
anniversary. Our theme this year is
“Find us Faithful” based on Psalm
89:1, 2. Our God is faithful and true
to us. We have evidence of this as
this school has graduated 50 classes
of children having provided them
with Christian education. Does that
not show God’s love to those that are
faithful? God blesses those who love
Him and follow His ways, so let us
remain faithful and true to God. And
now as you go off to high-school,
and then university or wherever life
leads you, remember how faithful
God has been to you while growing
up here at Huron Christian School. I
challenge you, graduates, to not just
learn more about God, but to put
what you’ve learned into action.
People should be able to tell, by
your actions, that you are a Christian
and that you love God. I encourage
you to show love and compassion to
people you will meet.
Well, Huron Christian School is
losing some of its finest individuals;
we have made our mark and it is
time for us to move on, we will miss
this school, but ‘class of 12’ we have
graduated! Woo hoo!

thank everyone for helping us pass
our driver’s test. Teachers,
principal, teacher assistants,
parents, grandparents and bus
drivers. Thank you for your
knowledge, care and support.
I would now like to take the time
to thank the best class that anyone
could ever ask for. We did it. We
made it to graduation. The doors
are open and we now can spread
our wings and soar into the future.
Good luck! For the future is
something unpredictable, but in the
end is right, I hope you had the time
of your life.
Thank you

be a good idea to bike around the
school all day. It could even had
been when our music teacher Ms
Kale sat dead centre on her glasses
and broke them in two.
Zak:Now even when we go on to
do great and wonderful things in
high school, wherever that may be,
we will always have the fun-filled
memories of our Grade 8 year. We
will have memories of the Above the
Falls trip, memories of our week at
Celtic Camp, fun memories on the
yard in the winter and fun memories
on the yard in the spring. And
hopefully, memories of this very
day – our Grade 8 graduation.
Carley:When I look back on this
year and look at faces in the
yearbook, I won’t just see names,
I’ll see everyone as someone who
has made the class of 2012 a little
more fun, a little more exciting, a
little more memorable. Always
remember your achievements with
pride. Through the years you have
set goals and met each challenge
with enough courage and
determination to overcome the many
obstacles you’ve encountered along
the way.
Zak:It sometimes surprises me
that I have been in one place for 10
years. But I don’t think of it in a
negative way. I think Seaforth Public
School has been a great place to
grow up at and an amazing way to
start preparing for our futures.
Carley:It is today that we look
back to when we first walked
through the doors here at Seaforth
Public School. For some of us it was
kindergarten, and others just this
past year. Since then, we have made
so many new friendships, acquired
so much knowledge and hopefully
matured a little. We are able to take
on any challenge in our path and
find a solution. We know that if you
fail, you try again. For teaching us
these valuable lessons, I would like
to thank every teacher, every staff
member and all the parents, siblings
and relatives on behalf of the
graduates. We know that because
you taught us to persevere and take
pride in our work – we are here
today celebrating our
accomplishments.º
