The Citizen, 2012-05-10, Page 21THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, MAY 10, 2012. PAGE 21. Huron County Warden Bernie MacLellan spoke to Huron County Council at the May 2 meeting, saying his previous month was full of important events for the county. MacLellan said his month of April began with a meeting with Huron- Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson about the government looking at legislation through a rural lens before it is passed. Thompson said she would consider the idea. MacLellan said he went to the brochure swap in Wingham and he also went to the Huron County Art Show. He said that while the initial bequest that began the Huron County Art Bank has been diminished, the county should look for a way to continue the program that, he said, was good for the county and its artists. “People are quite accustomed to the art show,” MacLellan said. MacLellan said that the county is in the final stages of going ahead with the septic inspection plan. MacLellan also attended the Blyth service for the late Fire Department of North Huron Chief John Black. MacLellan had several choice words for the service, calling it “professional and touching”. Of North Huron Reeve Neil Vincent’s words at the service, MacLellan said “those weren’t the words of a politician”. MacLellan said Vincent touched everyone in the room with his words.
