KERR.
Five years have passed since that sad
day,
When the one we loved was called
away.
No goodbyes were spoken,
Just two strong hands stopped
working,
One loving heart stopped beating.
Fond memories linger every day,
Thoughts of you are always near.
A loving husband, dad and grandpa,
tender and kind,
What beautiful memories you left
behind.

On May 3 at 4:40 p.m. Huron
OPP officers and North Huron Fire
Department members responded to
a small bush fire. The fire started
approximately 200 metres off of
Walton Road in a mixed bush and
grass area. The fire which caused
minor damage to the bushes was
quickly extinguished.
An alert witness had spotted a
suspicious male on the property and
immediately reported it to police.
Officers located the male and upon
further questioning he was arrested
and charged.
John Dyke, age 50, from Morris-
Turnberry has been charged with
Arson – Damage to Property. He
has a court date scheduled for June
21 at the Ontario Court of Justice in
Wingham.

On Saturday April 28 at 7:15 p.m.
Huron OPP officers and the
Lucknow Fire Department
responded to a collision involving a
farm tractor and a hydro pole. The
collision occurred on private
property at Lucknow Line near Zion
Road.
The operator of a 2003 Fentz
tractor was pulling a cultivator and
roller when the tractor collided with
a hydro pole that was located
in the field. The pole snapped
causing high voltage lines to
tumble onto the tractor which in
turn caused the tractor to catch on
fire.
An electrician that was driving by
was able to provide instructions to
the operator which assisted the
male. The operator jumped from the
burning tractor and safely avoided
being electrocuted. The tractor was
destroyed by fire and the downed
hydro wires caused power
interruptions for several hours. No
injuries were reported.

On May 6 at 12:07 a.m. Huron
County OPP officers observed the

been drinking alcohol.
The driver from Clinton
registered a warning on the roadside
screening device. He was served a
three-day driver’s licence
suspension and a ticket for “G2
class licence holder drive with BAC
(Blood Alcohol Concentration)
above zero”.
