Blyth Business Improvement Area (BIA) member and Blyth Festival General Manager Deb Sholdice explained during the BIA’s May 3 meeting that the site was looking at doing a focus on Blyth. “They want to feature Blyth in June as a ‘Village that Works’,” she said. “The blog covers rural life across Ontario and wants to do a feature on local stores.” Sholdice asked for suggestions from the BIA regarding which businesses and non-commercial locations should be focused on so she could begin setting up a schedule. Suggestions included green- spaces like the Greenway Trail and local parks as well as local churches and the Blyth Campground. Members of the BIA were excited for the opportunity to work with the site and show visitors to the site what Blyth has to offer.
