By Courtney Bachert All students are continuing their usual subjects, although some classes have started a few new things. The Grade 2 students are learning about turtles and in drama are learning the “tableau” technique, where you make still and slow movements during the play. Mrs. Todd’s language/math classes are going fine. The Grade 3 students are practising for EQAO and are doing well with that. The Grade 7 students are continuing their algebraic expressions and equations. The Grade 3/4 classes are learning how to write proper paragraphs and are learning different writing formats they can experiment with. Letters, instructions, adventures, they are all having fun with that and will probably be continuing with that for the rest of the week. By Hunter Dale This week, the Grade 1/2 class is continuing their study about eggs. The class enjoyed making scrambled eggs and toast. This experience gives them lots of opportunities to explore data management. This week the junior kindergartens studied the letter “D” and the farm animals that go with it like duck, dog and donkey. They are also learning to print about them like duck – webbed feet, quack. Donkey – hee haw. Dog – bark. Senior kindergarten students worked on the letter “B”. They read the book “Jack and the Beanstalk.” They are going to plant their own on Tuesday. Both classes are working hard for parents to see what they have been doing in class.
