PAGE 24. THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2012. Thompson’s bill calls for studies Several crashesFriday on Hwy. 4 Continued from page 1 her bill, Hudak’s own was set to be dealt with later this month to give municipalities back autonomy when it came to dealing with the Green Energy Act. “We need to hit the pause button on this issue,” she said. “We need to hold new construction based on the concerns of the people in rural areas until the research can be done.” She said the Conservatives would be supporting both Hudak’s bills and massive rallies set for various locations in Ontario regarding the Green Energy Act. Thompson said that although her bill was defeated, recent decisions made by the Liberals, particularly Liberal leader Dalton McGuinty, are indicating that they may be looking at changing things to appease those unhappy with current decisions. “They are saying they may tweak the Green Energy Act to give some power back to the municipalities,” she said. Emergency service vehicles were kept busy during what could be the last vestiges of winter on Friday, March 9. Emergency calls went out on three separate incidents involving vehicles on County Road 4 between Blyth and Wingham. At 11:40 a.m. near the intersection of London Road and Moncrieff Road a single vehicle rolled into the ditch. There were no injuries reported. At 12:40 p.m. OPP, emergency services vehicles and members of the Fire Department of North Huron from the Wingham station were dispatched to a collision involving two vehicles; a car and a fuel truck. The two collided and resulted in the car suffering serious damage. Other vehicles also ended up in the ditch. Firefighters from the Blyth station were dispatched but were quickly called back to the station. As a result of the collision several people were sent to Wingham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Nearly an hour later at 1:33 p.m., less than a kilometre away, a multi- vehicle collision occurred between a van and a car. Again, there were no serious injuries reported. ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Underwood Grain Limited 41797 Howick-Turnberry Rd., RR#1 Wingham 519-335-3579 Berlett Farms 5711 Line 87, RR#3, Listowel Premium $0.45 Premium $1.25 - $2.50 WUNDER ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** AIN OOD GRW ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** “YIELD PLAIN ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** OSS”U“YIELD PL ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** BEAN PRYO ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** AMRGOBEAN PR ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Premium $0.45 ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Premium $0.45 ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Premium $1.25 - $2.50 ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Premium $1.25 - $2.50 ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Howick-T41797 Underwood ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** RR#1 Rd., urnberryick-TTu Grain Underwood ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** 519-335-3579 ingham WRR#1 Limited ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** 571 Ber ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** ListowelRR#3, 87, Line 1 571 arFlett Ber ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Listowel msar ** *** ***** ***** * * *** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * * * * *** * * * * * * ** ** Turtle, turtle Tim Holland was in Blyth on Saturday afternoon with his ventriloquism show The Puppet Tamer, which was sponsored by the Blyth Legion.
