Blyth BrusselsJuveniles eliminateStars, take on Drayton
The Blyth Brussels Juvenile
Crusaders recently toppled the
Seaforth Stars in playoff action and
have taken a one-game lead over the
Drayton Defenders in their second
playoff series.
The Blyth Brussels Juvenile
Crusaders second-round series
started in Brussels against a tough
Drayton Defenders squad on Feb. 5
and at the end of an exciting game
the Crusaders ended up on the
losing side of a 4-3 score. Goals
coming from Travis Kerr assisted by
Ryan Sholdice and Dan Dery, Ty
Sebastian from Adam Cronin and
Mike McDowell and Taylor Prior
from Ty Sebastian and Matt Popp.
Sharing goal duties for this game
were Dave Irwin and Nathan
Watson.
The Blyth Brussels Juvenile
Crusaders’ second game of the
series was in Drayton on Feb. 12
and the fans witnessed another
exciting game with the Crusaders
being victorious in their efforts with
a 3-0 score. Goals coming from
Aaron Popp from Mike McDowell,
Dan Dery from Adam Cronin and
Matt Kerr and Adam Cronin from
Cody Subject and Dan Dery.
Goalie for this game was Nathan
Watson.
Game three was again in Drayton
on Feb. 17 and the Crusaders
showed up to play, which resulted in
another exciting game that was
witnessed by the many fans that are
following the Crusaders quest.
Again the Crusaders where
victorious with a 7-3 score.
The next game on the Crusaders
quest will be at the Blyth Arena
Friday Feb. 24 starting at 8:30 p.m.
Come on out and support the
Juvenile Crusaders on their quest to
the Western Ontario Athletic
Association (WOAA)
championship.
Redemption
The Blyth Brussels Atom Local League found redemption
on Wednesday, Feb. 15 as they downed the Goderich
Sailors. The game was the last in a three-game series in
which the Sailors defeated Blyth Brussels twice. (Jim Brown

Monday as Family-Fun-Apalooza-Winter-Luge-Athon saw
several events held there including family broomball, shown
