President Deb Caan attended the Spring Council and Presidents’ meeting in Mitchell on Monday evening. She heard reports from many of the presidents all reflecting on some of the many problems Branches are experiencing. They include the lack of new members and aging membership and the lack of patronage. The list of upcoming meetings was given to all attending. The Cadets met on Tuesday evening and urged people to drop off popcans and returnable bottles for their fundraising efforts. Comrade Elaine Nichol is still in an Oakville Hospital and hopefully will be able to move to Murray’s home in a couple of weeks.
