I’d like to first thank anyone who helped me at the beach after the tornado. To the doctors and nurses in Goderich, Dr. Sanders and the London Orthopedic Department and Clinton Hospital thanks for the excellent care during my stay. To the visiting nurses for the exceptional care since coming home – you’ve helped speed up my recovery from my injuries. Thanks to the Blyth Lions Club for putting on the benefit in December, it was wonderful. Thanks to the Blyth Legion for looking after the bar and the Blyth Legion Ladies for the luncheon. Thank you to Township of North Huron for the use of the Blyth Community Centre. I’d like to personally thank Gary and Chris Courtney and family, Karen and Kevin Coultes and family, Steve Howson, Elisha Haak and Fran Cook for organizing and getting the auction donations. Thanks to Matt Townsend for stepping in and being a great on-the-spot auctioneer. Also thanks to Ken Whitmore at Blyth Printing for donating the printing of the posters and tickets for the event. Thanks to everyone who visited me in the hospital, sent cards or stopped by for a visit since coming home – it helped to pass the time each day. I’d like to thank the ambulance attendants for their quick response to our call on New Year’s morning and to the doctors and nurses at the Clinton Hospital ER for their excellent care before transferring me to Stratford. Also thanks to Dr. Hay and all the wonderful nurses for their great care when I returned to Clinton and to the CCAC nurses when I got home.
