Several items of business were discussed after which Mrs, A, Moir took the chair during the election of officers for the coming year, the slate of officers prepar­ ed by the nominating committee was accepted by the meeting. BIBLE CLASS ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Comrade’s Bible Class of James Street Sunday School was held in the church on Friday evening last with a goodly number of members present. The song leader, Mr. Wm. Cook, took Charge of the opening sing-song from the hymn sheet. The ladies gave a special number entitled. “Whisper a PrayeV in the Morning." The male members sang the chorus "Crown Him Lord of All.’’ Mrs. Snell and Mrs. Ipybus accompanied on the piano. Rev. Mr. Irwin conductced the business. The reports of all committees were given showing activity in all these departments. The financial report from the secretary-treasurer was very gratifying. The Misses Ruth Hazelwood, Helen Webber, Betty Mills and Verla Wheelei’ gathered the gifts and placd them in a white basket beneath a lighted Christinas tree, after which Rev. Mr. Laing gave a very inspiring message on the sub­ ject, "How Far is it to Bethlehem.” Christmas Concert The annual Christmas concert was held on Monday with a large crowd in attendance. The public school pupils under the direction of their teacher, Mliss Christine, Brown fand t'heir music teacher, Miss Wal'kom, of Munro, put on •musical numbers' and several dia­ logues and recitations. The primary •class of the Sunday School recited recitations and put on a stocking drill. The older members of the ■Sunday School acted a tableaux, "The Blind .Boy of' Bethlehem," The programme closed National Anthem. Santa rived and the many gifts loaded tree.
