Mrs, W, Ashfield told a very interesting story to the members of the Church School in the morn­ ing. The evening service was un­ der the auspices of the Women’s Missionary Society, Addresses were given by Mrs. Irwin, Mrs. Batten and Mrs. Pooley, of Exeter, and were very educational and inspir­ ing. Due to the inclement weather, the congregation was not as, large as it otherwise would have been. Mrs. Rodney Bowman, of Wind­ sor, is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E‘, Guetting- er Mrs. S. Wuerth has returned af­ ter spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Blackwell in Lls- towel. Mrs. D. Mlclsaac left on Friday for Detroit, where she expects to spend the winter, 'She was accom­ panied by Miss Dorothy Ratz and Mrs. G. Heideman who returned home on Monday. M'r. Lloyd Hey made a business trip to Detroit last. week. Young Married, Couples Meet The young married couples cjas3 of ‘the Crediton United Church held their -monthly meeting November 29 th at the home of Mr. and Mrs Jack Galloway, Mr. Ted Lamport presiding. The report turned out to be erroneous. The girl who was burned to death had a similar name but was from South Porcupine. Several of the United churches in this community listened to. a broadcast from Wingham Sunday morning when the Moderator of the United Church, Rev, T. W.
