Thames Road Mission Circle The Thames Road Mission1 Circle met at the home of Miss Eleanor Hunkin on Saturday afternoon with the president. Jean Cann, in charge. The meeting opened with hymn 354 followed with prayer by Jean Cann. The Scripture lesson was read by Eleanor Hunkin. Bus iness was discussed. It was decided to hold a crokinole party in the near future and proceeds to go for a Christmas, treat for needy child ren. Hymn 252 was sung after which Dalores Allison favoured with an instrumental. Mrs. Mair then gave a report of the Presby- terial which was held at Roys last Friday. Hymn >2-67 was sung and the meeting closed by all re peating th Mizpah Benediction. An auction sale of numerous donated articles was held at the close of the meeting and netted Christmas cards were given out be Moodie, Mrs. Fletcher and motored to Sunday and Mrs. Robert sold by each member. Entertained to Fowl Supper The Lutheran Ladies’ Aid enter tained theii’ husbands and friends at, their annual fowl suppei’ on Thursday evening, October 24th, in the church /basement. Hallowe’en inspired decoration prevailed, and at least one early spook ventured forth, Rev. Higenell introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Taylor, principal of Dashwood school. Everyone had their views and interests in north ern Canada widened. Sing-songs and contests were enjoyed. “God Save the King,” closed a very success ful evening.
