A number of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bedard, 5th concession of Hay town ship on Friday evening to honor Mr. .and Mrs. Bedard and Mr. and Mrs Garfield Denomme who were celebrating their wedding anniver saries. Contests and dancing to the music of the Etude and Morenz orchstra, were much enjoyed after which a sumptuous wedding break fast was served. Mr, and Mrs. Garnet Jacobe spent the week-end in Sarnia and Port Huron visiting Mr. Jacobe’s sister, Mrs. Snider, who returned home with them. Mr. Wm. Fuss has been spend ing a week in Hamilton visiting with Mr. Alvin Reichert. Mr. Walter Hobkirk, of Bad Axe, Mich., attended the recent Inter national Plowing Match and visited with friends on the Parr Line. Our memory goes back to the time you were first elected to this office to succeed the late J. H. Holtzmann who was a man well acquainted with the work of the Sunday School. You have made a worthy successor and’ are to be highly commended. There have been trying times in performing your work but some how you had the happy ability to smooth down the rough edges and keep things running smoothly. We are sorry to learn that cir cumstances have made it necessary for you to move with your family elsewhere but our loss will be Exeter’s gain. We trust you will all be spared health and home.
