Mrs, Ellen Holtzeman and Miss Pearl Holtzeman, R.N., of Cleve­ land, Ohio, are visiting at the home of Mrs. L. Sweitzer. Mrs. Mary Hannigan and Mrs. Herman Mitchell have arrived home after visiting for a few days in Paisley and Port Huron. The Exeter Band provided the music at the Strathroy Fair on Mon­ day. Mrs. Florence Gould returned home with them after spending the past five weeks there. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brierley, ac­ companied by theii’ nieces, Miss Beverley Myers and Miss Delphine Jackson, were week-end guests in Detroit attending the wedding of their nephew, Mr. John McB. Harold Whyte, and spent a pleasant evening in the course or which they made an address and presentation to Mrs. Thomson. The address was as follows: Dear Mrs. Thomson:—We have gathered here this evening to spend a social time with you in your new home. For many years we lived to- gether as neighbors and it was with deep regret we learned of your decision to move from our neighborhood. Although health did not permit you to enter into our various activities during these last few years, your ready response for any appeal to assist was gratefully appreciated. We could not let you go from our midst without express­ ing to you in a tangible manner, our appreciation and ask you to accept this gift as a rememberance of your friends and neighbors of the south quilting group.'
