The W.M.S. and W.A.
United Church held their regular
monthly meeting in the basement
of the church on Wednesday last
with Group I in charge. Mrs. Fred
Fenton took the chair and opened
the meeting with a hymn followed
by the Lord’s Prayer in unison.
Mrs. Cecil E-llwood read a bible
selection. Mrs, Eldon Hodgson and
Mrs. Thos. Lee gave a reading. Mrs.
Jack Hodgson gave a chapter of the
study book after which minutes of
meeting were read and the roll
called/Mrs. Janies Trevethick, sec
ond vice-president of the W.A., took
the chair and opened their meeting
with a hymn followed by prayer.
A card of thanks was read from
Mrs. Margaret Gilbert and 'Marvel
Watson, acknowledging fruit sent
while ill. Business was then dis
cussed. A bible contest given by
Mrs. Th-os. Lee was won by Mrs,
Earl Morley. The meeting was then
brought to a close after which a
social half hour was spent. Lunch
was served by Group I.

Dr. Sanders, who has been medical
officer with the Canadian Army and

Huron County for a free trip to
Chicago and it will include a tour
conducted by the 4-H Club. Marion
won the county honor for general
proficiency having completed seven
projects in the Home Making Club
sponsored by the Hurondale Wo
