Council The council was held July 6 at 8:00 p.m. with all members being present in the Council Chamber. Minutes of the last meeting and the three meetings were read and as moved by Councillors Brown and Middleton. Business was as follws: F. Harburn reported regarding the work on the streets. Considerable discussion took place regarding the dogs run­ ning at large. It was found that the constable could lay charges if dogs were found running at large and he was instructed to take action to stop same. E. Geiger appeared regarding the damage done to his chickens by dogs and reported sixty-five as being killed. It was decided that the council could not take any action but advised Mr. Gei­ ger to take action if possible. The treasurer, J. A. Paterson, presented the financial report for the first six months of the year, also reporting regarding the meeting of the assessors in London along with D. E. Mac­ Kinnon, the local assessor. Correspondence was read from Public Library, E. Fink, Fire De­ partment, C.N.R. regarding the drain, R.C.A.F. Centralia regard­ ing flags, C. P. Deitrich, Daly, Thistle Judson and McTaggart regarding waterworks; Dept, of Health re Approval of Water­ works system; Municipal Bd., re hearing; Daily Comm. News; C. R. Hagey Engineering Company; Dumfries Construction Co.; On- way Construction; Spatafora regular special adopted Construction; Scott Bros.; Scott- Jackson Co.; A. R.
