Joe is a handy man on any team and last year played with Bowles in the Toronto loop. This year he will line up with People’s who he says will have a strong entry. While at the Ex last year, we saw Joe playing agaihst Joe Louis’ Punchers. Monday he was telling us about how Charlie Justice of the Punchers can really toss them in. In one of the games at the Ex, the Yan kees were leading 2-0 when the Toronto squad managed to get a man on first and third with none out. Justice went out to relieve his fellow hurler and as he walked by the 'bench told Spring he would pitch ten balls to retire the side. He did just that and even then the one ball called was a disputed effort. Several district fans saw Charlie in London last year and now will have an even better opportunity 'to watch the speedy negro as he has been brought to London to form a team there. in softball •this will The the themselves of teams, hook up in last year with while the other in the district reports, should year, a chap by the name the number be right in With Doug Optical Notice John Ward Roofing & Building Time •the district teams, W. is calling .a meeting in Hall next Monday re- the the other teams a real ESTABLISHED Having taken over the records and stock of the late Mr, Zui’brigg and latterly the late Mr. Tindall, I am prepared to make replacements and repairs and look after your eye needs.
