The minutes were read and
adopted. The treasurer’s report
was given by Marilyn Strang.
Mrs. Sillery then taught the
lesson on the four gospels.
Prayer was offered by Garfield
Johnston and the hymn, “Tell
Me The Stories of Jesus” was
sung with Mrs. Simpson singing
a verse as a solo. By repeating
the Lord’s Prayer in unison the
meeting closed to meet again

Miscellaneous Shower
A miscellaneous shower was
held at the home of Mrs. Jas.
Simpson on Tuesday evening of
this week in honor of Miss
Roberta Duncan, bride-elect.
The evening’s program consisted
of readings, community singing
and a mock wedding. Roberta
was the recipient of many beau
tiful gifts. Anne Simpson read
the address and after unwrap
ping the gifts, Roberta thanked
all those present for the gifts
received. Contests were enjoyed
and a ^dainty lunch served,
