The W.M.S. of St. Andrews Un
ited Church held their Birthday
Meeting in the Sunday School
Rooms on Wednesday afternoon.
Guests were present from Hills-
green and Brucefield,. The presi
dent, Mrs. Ernie Chipchase, pres
ided and the meeting opened by
singing the hymn “O Word of Goa
Incarnate”. The Lord’s Prayer was
repeated in unison. Mrs. A- Hinton
then took charge of the devotional
period. The minutes were then
read and the roll call taken with
the Text Word "praise”. Mrs. Rob
ert Elgie then gave a report on
the sectional meeting of the Huron
Presbyterial held in Crediton on
October 15 at which she was a
delegate. Mrs. Wallie McBeath, of
Brucefield, then favoured with a
piano instrumental, Mrs. Carl Me
Clinchey offered her home for the
December meeting. Mrs. (Rev.)
Stanway of Brucefield gave a very
interesting address on her exper-s
iences while a missionary of recent
years in China. Mrs. J. Henderson
of Brucefield favored with a solo,
accompanied by Mrs, W. McBeath.
Mrs. A. Manteeth moved a vote of
thanks to the Brucefield women
for helping make the meeting such
a success. The meeting closed by
singing“Breath on Me Breath of
God followed by the Mispah Ben
ediction in unison. Lunch was ser
ved from prettily decorated tables
and the

Successful Bazaar
The Women’s Auxiliary of St.
Andrew’s United Church held a
very successful bazaar in the Sun
day School Rooms on Saturday af
ternoon. The seven booths were
prettily decorated and contained
many lovely, useful and tasteful
articles. The fancy work booth was
in charge of Mrs. C. Watson, Mrs.
Bill Kyle, Mrs. J. McLean, Mrs.
Peck and Mrs. Meilis. The home
cooking: Mrs. Harold Jones, Mrs.
Herbert Jones, Mrs. Eldon Jarrott,
Mrs. Ernie Whitehouse and Mrs.
Emerson Anedrson. The touch and
take booth; Mrs. Winston Work
man, and Mrs. Ernie Ciphchase.
The vegetable booth: Mrs. Eddie
McBride, Mrs. Archie Parsons, Mrs.
John Anderson and Mrs. Alec Mc-
Murtrie, The fish pond: Mrs. Dun
can Cooper and Mrs. Billie Bell.
The rummage booth: Mrs. Bobbie

er. The candy booth was in charge
of the Junior Girls.
A twenty-five cent tea was ser
ved by Misses Bernice McClinchey,
Betty Lou Watson, Mona Caldwell,
Joyce and Edna Broadfoot assisted
by several ladies in the. kitchen.
Soft music of an electric record
player was managed by Rev. Mr.
Hinton. Proceeds amounted to over
two hundred dollars.
