Inspector G. L. Gray was present from the Dep artment. Principal Sturgis gave his report for the month of October. The Time-table is working satisfactor ily. There is keen interest in the school activities carried on from 3.30 to 4. Term tests are being con ducted at frequent intervals in the regular class periods. Sadie Haw kins day was observed by the stu dents on November 6. The question of a holiday on November 20 is at the descretion of the Board. There were several visitors from the De partment during the month includ ing Mr. Gray and Mr. McClellan, Mr. Matthews for Shop, and Miss Clarke for Home Economics. The results of school athletes in W. O. S.S.A. competition at London were commended. Some supplies were -re quired. No action was taken on November 20 holiday. Moved by A. W. Morgan and conded by J. McAllister that Sturgis be authorized to investigate the Supply Teacher possibilities. Moved by R. L. Mickle and se conded by G. Hess that the Princi pal’s report be adopted. Carried. The requisitions were examined and approved separately. Mr. D. McClay, of Ripley, waited on the Board representing General Films. He displayed the use of a Film Strip Projector and the con venience of a Radiant Screen. The minutes were read and ad opted for the regular October meet ing of the 6th and the special meetings of the 14th and the 27th. The correspondence was read. Moved by E. L. Mickle and se conded by E. R. Hopper that the Board approve the closing of the school for .Friday, November 7, as requested by the Department in or der that teachers may attend the Convention in Goderich. Carried. Moved by A. W. Morgan and seconded by G. Hess that the ac counts be paid as read. Carried. Inspector G. L. Gray was invited to comment on his observations at the school. Mr. J. H. Jones reported the comments of Mr, C. P. Dietrich on the drainage and levelling of sites considered by the Board.
