Centralia 7, Exeter 4
The local Intermediates ran into
a bad seventh inning when Jerry
Naugler, pinch-hitting for Robertson
parked a long triple down the right
field line to start a four-run rally
and put Centralia in front 7-4. Ex
eter had been leading 4-3 until
Naugler’s blow. They failed to score
in the eighth and the game, played
at Community Park because of' a
wet diamond in Centralia, was call
ed in the last half of the same in
ning with one out.
Up until the seventh it was a
close game with the airmen taking
a two-run lead in the second in
ning when Lenour and McNabb
crossed the plate. In the fourth
Centralia made it 3-0. Coleman led
off with a single and scored on
Berner’s grounder to short. In the
next two innings iDinney held the
Airport hitter; while his teammates
got three hits off Berner for three
runs.

in the first half of the seventh
Exeter went ahead scoring again
after two were out. Reavley singled,
stole second and went to third on
a wild pitch and then crossed the
plate on Harry Holtzman’s single.
The locals allowed the airmen to
fill the bases in the last half on
three straight errors. They got out
of the tight spot when Burns flied
to second and Mesier was caught
off first. However Naugler’s three-
base blow scored McNabb and
Phillips, the first two men on base
and scored himself on a wild pitch.
Rimer came in with the fourth run
on Coleman’s double.
■For the winners Coleman had a
double and two singles in four
times at bat while Howie Holtzman
had two for three and Harry Holtz
man and Reavley, two for four.

a four hit shutout, Exeter’s biggest
threat was in the third when Din
