World Output of Sugar is still
far below demand.
Growers share in the current
good returns for pulp and
molasses.
Every sugar beet grower shares
in the Ontario Government’s
subsidy grant of $112,500.
Sugar beets should again lead
all field crops of our district in
average returns per acre.
You are guaranteed a market
for all the beets you grow.
Fertilizer is on hand in normal
quantities for your beet crop.
More beet-handling machinery
will be on hand in fields,

AIRMEN SPARED “CLOSE
SHAVE” WITH HEAVY-DUTY
HORSE SHEARS
Ail* force personnel at Centralia
were saved “a close shave” as a
result of an incident in a Goderich
store.
Spotting a pair of clippers in the
store, a man hurriedly picked them
up. With obvious delight he ex
plained to the clerk that he had
been searching for a pair of clip
pers that his son-in-law needed in
his barber shop at Centralia. Anx
ious to pay whatever they might
cost, he reached for his pocket
book.
“I’m sorry, sir,” explained the
clerk, “these clippers are heavy
duty animal clippers, principally
for shearing horses and are not
for humans.”
He’s still looking for’ the clip
pers.
