Mr. Taylor with his wife spent three years in northland and told the .group of the many experiences he and Mrs. Taylor shared. Most of the trip was made by boat on the MacKen- zie River and it was at the anouth where the river empties into the Arctic that the traveller's spend considerable of their time. Follow­ ing the talk Mr. Taylor answered questions from members of the olub. Ada Dinney and Lawrence Wein sang a duet and Mrs. Tomlin­ son recited a humorous poem. Following a few games lunch was served. Canada’s attending the Duo-Therm Oil Burn­ er service school. Miss Annie Handford, who been spending the winter at home of hei' brother-in-law sister, Mr, and Mrs. London, returned to on Thursday of last Mr. Roland Motz, auto accident, is improving nicely in Victoria Hospital, He was able I to be up for the first time on Thursday last. Allan Fraser is like­ wise making a splendid recovery. Mr, and Mrs. M. R. Batten and Mrs. G.' F. Penwarden, of Centralia, were in Clinton on Monday attending an executive meeting of the Hur­ on Presbyterial of the W.M.S. The Huron Presbyterial .of the W.M.S. will be held in Main Streets Church, Exeter, on Thursday, Ap­ ril 24 th Easter exams. Friday next is Good Friday and a public holiday. Beavers and daugh­ ter visited in Detroit and Windsor during the past week. Mrs. R. E. Booley is spending this week with her daughter, Mrs? Lloyd Cushman in Chatham. Mr. J. W. Morley is making splendid progress from his recent serious illness in Victoria Hospital. The Exeter Agricultural Society acknowledged a contribution of $10.00 from Wm. Frayne foi' the Community Park. Mrs. L. Hod gins, of Lucan, visit­ ed with Mr. and Mrs. A. Geddes, Huron street, for several days dur­ ing the past week. Dr, A. B. C. 'McLagan and Mrs. McLagan, of Preston, visited re­ cently with the latter’s parents, Mr. and -Mrs. Wm. Winer. Miss Barbara Harness attended the hairdresser’s convention at Royal York Hotel, Toronto, Wednesday of fast week. Mr. T. J. Wilson, of Bruce London, visited for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. James Lawson and other friends in Exeter. Mrs. L. Webber, of Usborne, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, in the Hopper-Hockey am­ bulance, Monday for treatment. Miss Ilene Kerslake. who has been employed with the Bank of Montreal in London, has been transferred to the Exeter branch. Mr. and .Mrs. Frank Parsons vis­ ited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Walper, of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. James Barkley, of Romeo. Mich. Messrs. Frank and Cyril Strange of Toronto, visited with their par­ ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Strange, over the week-end. Mrs. Strange returned with them on a visit. Misses Ruby King, Myrtle Haist, Bernice Haist, Doreen Triebner. and Messrs. Wm. Triebner and Aimer Passmore visited with rela-» tives in London over the week-end. Mr. J. A. Traquair is ill at his home suffering from pneumonia.
